“For God’s sake, let them leave!”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the people of Gaza must be allowed to leave voluntarily, adding that the only other place on earth from which citizens are not permitted to emigrate is North Korea.

The majority of Gazans, between 50% to 80%, wish to leave the Strip, Netanyahu said during a podcast interview with Israeli historian and media personality Gadi Taub.

“For God’s sake, open the door, let them leave! The countries [say], ‘No, no, we will not accept them so as not to help Israel.’ What about helping the Gazans? Why don’t they have the right granted to billions of people around the world, to move from place to place?” said Netanyahu.

Netanyahu: Israel and US only Western nations willing to fight

In a podcast interview this week, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu lamented that most in the Western world are no longer willing to fight for their freedoms, values, or civilization.

“Other than Israel and, fortunately, also the United States nowadays, no Western country is willing to fight,” Netanyahu said.

“I spoke with a former commander in the British Armed Forces, a close friend of mine, and he told me they won’t fight even when their own countries come under direct attacks,” he added.

The Israeli leader concluded that “war is a terrible thing that comes with a heavy price … The best of our sons and daughters have fallen. But if you aren’t willing to raise the sword, you’ll be killed. This is the cruel world in which we live.”

Not just the right: Opposition lawmaker backs Gaza resettlement

Member of Knesset Debbie Biton of the centrist party Yesh Atid told JNS that she would support Jewish resettlement of the Gaza Strip, in particular the rebuilding of the Katif Bloc of Jewish communities in southern Gaza.

“If those parts of Gaza can be ours, let them be ours. They used to operate as a bloc and that’s okay with me. But if we sign agreements, we need to respect them,” she said.

Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich announced on Tuesday that Jerusalem had earmarked 113 million shekels ($37.2 million) for developing more than 70 heritage sites across Judea and Samaria.

The historical sites are “an inseparable part of the history of the Jewish people,” Smotrich wrote in a Hebrew-language X post.

Redemption is bigger than we think

The biblical prophets did not speak of salvation as one event or one idea.

Isaiah saw the renewal of all humanity.

Jeremiah spoke of the human heart being changed.

Ezekiel described Israel’s national rebirth.

Zechariah saw Jerusalem at the center of a final global upheaval.

Micah pointed to justice, mercy and humility.

Together, they reveal a much larger picture: Israel restored, the nations transformed, and the world brought under the rule of God.

Data released by the National Insurance Institute reveals there is no surge in divorce rates among families of IDF reservists.

There had been concern that long months at war would cause, among other things, an increase in divorce as the realities of the situation put strain on Israeli couples.

But according to the numbers, divorce among reservists who have served in this war stands at 26%, which is even below the national divorce rate of 28%.

Netanyahu clarifies: "I am standing firm on our security interests—we will not withdraw from our current lines [in Gaza] until Hamas is completely disarmed."

Why Sbarro still matters

On Aug. 9, 2001, a Hamas suicide bomber murdered 16 people, including eight children and a pregnant woman, at Jerusalem’s Sbarro pizzeria.

Twenty-five years later, the massacre is not only a memory of Second Intifada brutality.

It is a warning.

Peace plans that empower terrorists do not produce peace. They produce more Jewish blood.

And until Palestinian society treats murderers like Ahlam Tamimi as criminals instead of heroes, every “breakthrough” should be viewed with caution.

Since Oct. 7, even a film trailer can feel different.

Violence on screen ends when the lights come up. It demands no decision, no risk and no personal price.

Real violence is different.

It has names, faces, families and funerals.

And when it comes to our door, the question is no longer whether we like violence. None of us should.

The question is who is willing to take responsibility to stop it.
